Abstract Flipped teaching has gained popularity among teachers throughout the world. In this educational model, the two elements of teaching in class and doing homework at home are replaced. In this way, students learn different subjects using short videos at home and before the start of the classroom, and do exercises, conduct research or discuss during the class. Reading comprehension classes are the most suitable to apply FCM (Flipped Classroom Model) to help students to comprehend better. In this article, first I have reviewed the research literature on flipped teaching and reading comprehension. By reading comprehension I mean the ability to read text, process it and understand its meaning. It relies on two, interconnected abilities: word reading (being able to decode the symbols on the page) and language comprehension. I have tried to apply the model to my own reading comprehension classes under the General English course. The result of this study showed that using Flipped Classroom Model in Reading Comprehension classes can generally improve the reading and comprehension skills of learners.
